Applications for deep-drawn paperboard products
Deep-drawn paperboard products such as thread protector plugs and thread protector caps are primarily used as spatter guards for painting, powder coating, wet painting and welding. Our ball shells and lift cups, end caps and rocket nose cones are used by pyrotechnics manufacturers.
Advantages of paperboard as a material
Paperboard is less expensive and more environmentally friendly than many other materials. Deep-drawn paperboard parts do not have to be collected and recycled; they can simply be disposed of, or even thrown into the compost bin. Paperboard is also heat-resistant to a temperature of 270 °C as well as anti-static and does not promote condensation. Especially when it comes to pyrotechnic products, paperboard is considerably more environmentally friendly than plastic.
